Maybe we're lost. Maybe we're not.
But you’ve found us! And we’re so thankful that you have because we have a story to tell you.
Welcome, fellow explorers, to a blog all about living outside your comfort zone. We dedicate this blog to you and everyone else who won’t settle for anything less than a life lived fully.
A few months ago my husband and I made a decision to trade in our all-too-familiar American life for giant backpacks and a whole bunch of new stamps on our passports. Despite the sound of that monotone voice of sensibility in our heads, we pushed forward.
We promise we're not crazy. (Well, maybe a little bit.) We just always knew we craved something more. We always knew that we had to go see the world.
That sounds cool and all, but you may be asking why are we actually doing this. Well, we are both deathly afraid of the average. We crave the excitement of the uncertain and the certainty of the unknown. And to thrive in our new environment we will have to embrace doubt, stare fear in the face, and take a giant step forward. And we can't wait to begin. The typical, everyday American life that we expected as our eventuality will not be. Not for us. Not now, at least.
This adventure will be a balance. We aim to walk the line between living for the now and living for the future, between wandering and planning, and between spending and saving.
If you follow us, hopefully, we'll inspire you to do the same.
It took a while for us to get here, but the time is now and we're going to live our lives by the single most important mantra we know:
The only constant in life is change.
